1989 nissan 240sx idle problem no power

1989 Nissan 240sx rough idle no power hesitant..when you start it in the morning the engine looks like its got no mounts. but when it gets warm in runs smooth at idle..but when you put it into gear it looks as it were morning again.

seems like you're running on 3 cylinders. check your ignition wires and plugs, or you could have a dead fuel injector. you can check the injectors by unplugging them one at a time while its idling, when you unplug one and theres no change, thats the dead one. you can get stock top feed injectors for the sohc online on ebay or something, I think they are 270cc.

i have a 1990 240sx..same as urs and mine wont start at all....it will turn and all but nothing...is like if it had no starter.i checkd the batt but is good..alt is good too..idk wats wrong with it. if anyone out there knos whats wrong with my car please help....

most likely a fuel cut or vacuum leak. My 89s13 would bog down under a load and higher rpms. Turned out I had 2 vacuum leaks and a bad fuel pump. It seems like an easy fix really, you just gotta dig for the real problem and not waste ur money just replacing part after part.

check for vacum leaks
