Grooming a Mini Schnauzer -- Mommy's 1st Attempt at Grooming Me!

This is the 1st time I attempted to groom my little mini schnauzer, Pippi. I had taken a grooming class 12 years ago and didn't know if it would come back to me, but I think I think I did a pretty good job! I've still got to perfect my skills, but I did better than some of the groomers I've taken her too!

this is great! I groomed my 1 year old Mini yesterday for the first time! It actually was fun and although I paid more for my supplies then I would to have her groomed it was worth it and will be more cost effective in the long run :) I did buy blunt nose scissors thought and I'm glad, yours were a little scary, your dog was so good though! Mine is a bit of a bobble head! Great job!

I just use human hair cutting shears and they work great for me. I got my last pair online...and once I got them at Sally's Beauty supply. I'm not sure about left handed ones.

I am left-handed and those were the smallest left-handed grooming shears I could find! Left-handed shears are almost impossible to find, and they are more expensive than right-handed ones. Where did you get your little shears?

Great Job, Girl. Only one thing. Those sicissors sort scared the willies out of me. REALLY big for around the face. Mine don't sit as still for the face and I have to use shorter scissors and take a tighter hold on the beard when doing the face. They can sometimes jerk up and I'd gouge their eyes out with those things. LOL!
