i used the recording thing in the GBA emulator. i used to record sound and video avi.

I looked at it (never realized there was one) and it's not great since it separates sound and video ^^;... I usually use SnagIt to record videos of such things. But if you *do* have a sound file and the corresponding AVI video file, you could use VirtualDub to mix both and make a regular video out of them.
