"Oh you just want to hug it!"
Well, I suppose you could call it "hugging", but that's not exactly what was on my mind...

I think I would die if I owned these. Must be nice to be rich! Gerard Bulter, Emmy Rossum, and Minnie Driver actually WORE THESE! I would totally wear all of Christine's dresses all the time and attempt to do the Phantom's awesome cape moves if these were mine(: Lol!

The costumes just aren't the same without the people in them and the movement.

lol this is the only use i would have for these costumes, if i had like a hundred mannequins lying around i would have them stand in masks all over the house creepy guests out...omg now i totally have to do that eventually
this is absolutly fasinating. did you ever hear how much all of this cost? and does she leave it up year round?

I can't even imagine how much money is invested in this collection. I remember when the Really Useful Group ran their auctions on e-bay, and many costume items sold for thousands of dollars. The owner of the collection keeps everything in storage most of the time, but periodically sets up the exhibit in her home when special requests are made. She does charge a nominal fee to see the colleciton - like 15 dollars or so - I can't remember exactly. But it was well worth it!

I used to be so impressed with the Red Death costume from the film...until I saw the Red Death costume on stage. The mask alone deserves and an award for the Red Death costume on Broadway! The movie's version is...quite lame, after seeing that.
Nevertheless, thanks for sharing! It was a treat. It must've been great seeing all those genuine costumes in person.
