Christy tells Frankie that all weddings make her bawl like a baby because she thinks of how the couple is being united in body and soul and then she thinks of how one will lose the other first, and it makes her so sad. Christy guesses it stems from her having married an older man. Frankie says that nobody has as much time as they think they do, no matter how old they are. The phone rings, but Frankie says Cass can handle it. Frankie and Christy reminisce about one of their childhood Halloweens. Frankie says that planning a wedding with Christy will be like working with Cecil B. DeMille. Christy admits to being a bit of a perfectionist. Cass returns and tells Frankie her mother is on the phone and for some strange reason, she didn't want to chat the night away with him. Frankie goes to talk to her mother on the phone, leaving Cass alone with Christy. Cass then asks how Douglas is doing. Christy says he's about the same and asks if Cass has said anything to Frankie about Douglas's illness. Cass confirms that he hasn't, but says he was hoping that Christy would have told Frankie herself by now. He knows that Christy doesn't want to put a damper on the wedding plans by telling Frankie about Douglas, but they're best friends, and Frankie should know. Christy says it's different now with her and Frankie. Cass says the important friendships don't change. When people have been apart for a while like Frankie and Christy, they have some catching up to do, but it doesn't make the friendships any less real. Cass then tells Christy about Felicia recently losing her husband, and that Cass wants to be there for her because of how much he loves her, not because of how much she needs him, and Frankie operates the same way. If Christy doesn't tell Frankie about Douglas, then some guru or swami or Ouija board will. Christy defensively says that she's not hiding anything; she and Douglas have made a decision about how to handle telling their friends, and she wants to respect that. Cass says he didn't mean to imply that Christy was doing anything else. Christy says she knows that Cass means well and she appreciates his concern, but she needs to tell Frankie about this in her own time and in her own way. Cass says he didn't mean to intrude on Christy's privacy. Christy tells him it will all work out, then asks if he has the will ready. He does, but he would like to go over a few particulars with Douglas. Christy turns Cass down, and asks for the will herself, saying that's not necessary. Cass says he would think that getting this out of the way would make Douglas feel better. Christy tells Cass it wouldn't, and to trust her. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.
Love the comment about Frankie figuring it out by the Ouiji board, Swami, or Guru!!
