Supreme Court Denies Appeal for Death Row Prisoner Mumia Abu-Jamal
The Supreme Court has denied an appeal from the journalist and former Black Panther Mumia Abu-Jamal. On Monday, the court rejected without comment Abu-Jamals bid to overturn his conviction for the 1981 killing of a white police officer following a controversial trial before a predominantly white jury. Abu-Jamal contends the case was marred with racial bias, including the deliberate exclusion of blacks from the jury. It shows you that precedent means nothing, that the law is politics by other means, Abu-Jamal said in response to the ruling. [includes rush transcript]

u are a racist..the very comment is obviously racist(however i aint mad at ya). what u want is for us to take this dumb shyt lying down. but the time for that is past kid. go get a late pass,the tone of society has changed. this man didnt kill anyone. he had way too much going for him to have had anything to do with this fiasco. this is not the first time such has happened. ...it aint hard to tell.

if 60% of all prison inmates are black, a group which represents only 12% of national demography then it can stated without going further than Mumia must certainly have been tried unjustly and the chances of his release are far more slimmer than a white simply based on that statistics.

District Attorney Lynne Abraham, who at times has supervised aspects of the Abu-Jamal case, is on record stating that it was the "most open-and-shut murder case" she had ever tried. The guys is guilty. Painfully so. To see intelligent and kind people defend him turns my stomach........
