I wont drive any emergency vehicle through London under normal conditions and even not at the new years eve.. It's horrible how long they need.

I can't help but say that if I was responding to an incident and encountered something like this I'd probably tell the driver to catch up with me, jump out, grab a backpack and a couple of grab bags and BOOK IT to the scene

Sound's like the Air Ambulance or Police heli is overhead. Probably police judging by the noise that the cars and people are making.

no the second van is a standard LAS Emergency Ambualance, the first is a LAS HART Command and Control Unit and the third is LAS HART Support Unit. They would have been forced to have taken that route as the other side would have been quarentined by the police/fire service whom take overal responsibility of a hazardous situation. As somebody previously mentioned below, fleet ambulances are normally occupied by amb. support workers. Paramedics 8/10 there 25% faster, on bike, 50% fasterin london.

Its a good thing the Iveco was out front, they have the highest roofline of any commercial van sold in europe (and possible world)
