With all the Canibus vs Slaughterhouse biz that went down recently, there's been a lot of talk on the web from fans from both sides as to who would come out on top. I happen to be a fan of both Canibus (HRSMN/Undergods) and Slaughterhouse. To me, all these cats represent some of the most lyrical prowess in the game nowdays. CAN is great but lets be real. All his shit sounds the same. u can play every song he ever made and its the same ol style. He spits fire but the same fire. he played out(no diss) Crooked has many styles and is lyrical plus speaks on real shit in lifes events. Not solar sparatical beta gramatical dark side of the moon chill infaticle shit. that was hot 15 years ago but not now.

@harmany08 I don't think Bus is lyrical anymore. He used to be in his Rip The Jacker/Mic Curriculum era, but now he just uses big words to compensate for his lack of lyrical abilities. Compare Master Thesis (Lyrical) to his verse on Diabolic's last album, Liar & A Thief, on the track, In Common (Terrible.) Crooked I is much better.

Flow is all about preference, and i think Canibus' flow is more effective in a way, but not better. Crooked's punchlines and multi's don't make him better... it's how EVERYTHING is composed over all that make's another thing better than another. Canibus shit's on Crooked as a lyricist... it's no contest in my eyes.

@harmany08 Word. I have two Crooked mixtapes, and he's already in my Top 15. I still fuck with Bus, but he's a sell-out to me. I feel the same way about Ice Cube, Nas, Eminem, and Jay-Z. They all have classics in their catalogs, but they aren't even CLOSE to where they were when they began.
