Glad you got it sorted out. My first impression, like the other commentor, was "oh no, don't do that!" (spin up the rotor without blades)....what I do is bolt the heli down with a 2x2 clamped down to the bench through the skids when I want to tune the engine.
i got this engine on my pantera 50 and i have to autorotate 3 times when he quit
i"ll try to adjust the low end by MY SELF NOW , i was also surprise of an OS engine with problems ????

1st of all you shouldn't run a heli without blades
the head is unloaded and it will damage your engine and cause it to over rev....
(drasticaly reduces its life)
if you have to do testing you should get some head loaders (basicly weights on the end of a metal shaft)
glad you got it sorted tho but if you keep doing that it won't last long.

We corrected the problem with this engine by making the following adjustments:
Low end needle was turned out 1/4 turn.
High end needle was turned in 5 clicks.
Most importantly, the head bolts were not torqued down as hard as they should have been.
This resulted in low cylinder compression.
Engine now runs great.
