girl if you are going to depend on your social security for retirement you are indeed a fool. You have to save your own money. Even if Social Security was not in trouble you could barely get by on just social security, you would live a horrible existence, never getting to travel no luxuries

Well the system was designed to benefit single mothers and legal immigrants, but that part of welfare has always been temporary. Most people on Welfare eventually get themselves out. Although, currently we have more people getting on it than are leaving.

i tryed to get other help from our so called gov.welfare system but was denied. im sorry i dont mean to sound racist but where i live the hispanics are 3 to 1 white and where i shop they have there welfare cards . it is just wrong,our gov. is draining us to give to them,even the ones thatdont pay in to the socalled system. and im tired of it.

Gore is your typical democrat, using emotional ploys to suck money away from people and give nothing in return. Same goes for Social Security, a dem program. Pay taxes for all your working years and at the end they give you a little back before you die. Then they tax you again after you're dead. Dems are blood suckers!

Always remember that it was Al Gore who cast the deciding vote to raid social security for wasteful spending. Democrats are always in constant need of more $ for their designed-broken programs so they can keep raising taxes to get more funding for their campaigns, where the money really goes. Same for educaton, most of the $ goes to the DNC and they waste it on pathetic liberals like Pelosi.
