Well I guess it has to be what area your in then. My Verizon LTE is usually hitting 40+ mbps infact I have 3 videos up on my channel to prove it, yet my friends AT&T iphone 5 has a hard time reaching 8 mbps. Im not saying 8 mbps is bad because I really do think 8 mbps is more than enough for a phone to do just about anything, but the point is in some areas LTE is faster than hspa+ and in other areas hspa+ is faster than LTE. if they would get more lte towers out though lte would be faster.

HSPA+, generally speaking, is absolutely comparable to LTE. AT&T's HSPA+ is the slower one compared to T-Mobile's, but I'm a T-Mobile customer and my HSPA+ is almost ALWAYS faster than Verizon's LTE. I pull around 20 Mbps daily in my area on T-Mobile HSPA+; my Verizon friends are lucky to break 9 Mbps. And that's rare if they do.

Don't get me wrong - I'm not saying AT&T is better than Verizon. All I'm saying is that they can, and should, be compared. The technologies ARE comparable.

See this is one reason why I hate AT&T, they compare everything to Verizon. Even though Verizon doesn't have a basic 4g network Verizon only has an LTE network, AT&T compares their hspa+ over Verizon LTE. AT&T, give it up, anyone with a brain would know that Verizon LTE is way better in terms of speed and coverage than your hspa+.Compare your hspa+ to T-Mobile hspa+,then maybe I would have a little more sympathy for AT&T thinking they are better than Verizon comparing AT&T hspa+ over Verizon LTE
