James Kalm is invited back to the Metropolitan Museum to document this sculptural exhibition by one of America's most recognized artists. Jeff Koons is honored with the placement of three of his highly polished stainless steel works from the "Celebration" series, "Balloon Dog Yellow", "Sacred Heart (Red/Gold)" and "Coloring Book". Jeff Koon also responds to a provocative question from Kalm regarding the art market.

  • To all viewers of the "Kalm Report". FYI: Steven Winn, of the San Francisco Chronicle, has selected "Jeff Koons on the Roof at the Metropolitan Museum" as one of his YouTube Picks Friday, June 27. He includes a very perceptive review of the program.

  • That was a very cool LA Times article about you James. Congrats. I wish somewhere like Art Cal would hire you to go to openings. Plus, if you were on their payroll they might be able to convince you go to a photography opening every now and then. :)

  • I'm already linked on ArtCal. I'm one of Barry and James biggest fans. Sadly I don't think their payroll is that extensive.

Will try to get more photo shows in the line-up, thanks JK

  • Dear "Kalm Report" fans, there's a feature article in today's (April 23) LA Times, Arts and Culture section on the "Kalm Report" and the "Jeff Koons On the Roof" program by staff writer Thomas Mulligan Check it out, JK

  • what a treat. that coloring book piece is my favorite koons ever. thanks james.

  • I can't help but think that there are going to be some birds that will die with that one.

It has a strange effect with the reflection and the illusion of transparency, parts of it seems to disappear. Very weird and dangerous if you're flying low. JK

  • wow. so i guess Michelangelo, Reubens and every other artist who worked in the guild system (centuries of art!) are frauds? wow. Godard, Hitchcock and Fellini had help on their films, so they are frauds too? the world of production is very complicated and your comment seems a little silly:)

  • i stand by my point...since mrwow is obviously not my real name my personal life is not up for debate here ,so......your point is silly and your personal attack is desperate:(

  • "Oh, look at that suit"... "That suit is about as shiny as his sculpture"..."Look at that detail"

  • RIP JEFF KOONS

  • i know koons is one of the most controversial artists of our time, but many of you need to read up a little more before agreeing with this idiot, and his camera. if you're going to make fun, at least be smart about it. anyhow here is an article for anyone who is interested.

(type this in on google, url was too many characters)

    koons from full fathom five

  • Perhaps the best thing Mr. Koons can do for art is for him to jump off the roof of the Metropolitan!

  • 2:50: Cicciolina's shaved blonde pussy....I guess...

  • I turned the sound off so I wouldn't have to hear your constant yak, yak, yakking.
