Black people sturyTorah(bible). I agree with the old guy, with our past being so simular perhaps it will bring us together. We should understand that G-d made a covenant with the Isrealites and they must keep Torah and to be a light for all the nations and we must be thankful he did. Women of the black churches use to quote scriptures and now that barely know the books. Jewish women know the Shema, all 613 mitzvots(not just 10) and shabbat and teach it to their kids. We barely own a bible!
