(Via Heather, http://crooksandliars.com ) Rachel Maddow addresses the use of the threat of assassination as a political tactic, and those who could care less about ginning up the anger which is driving the angry protesters to these town halls. Rachel stated this better than I ever could so I'll let her take it from here.

  • And you need to put down the crack pipe, because you're clearly becoming more, and more ignorant and stupid by the minute. I know that you must love all the crack-whore tricks you're turning, but really it's time to stop. Now sit down, and SHUT THE FUCK UP!

  • Rachel Maddow Rocks!

  • Rachel makes excellent points on this.

Some people fail to realize that everything has consequences, including what we say and do. All the anger, hate, and fear stirred up by these people will linger long after this "debate" is over, and none of the people whipping it up will take responsibility for it. If someone dies, you can't add "just kidding" and make it all right.

Unfortunately, everything is relative. Nobody cares about anything until it affects them. Hope that's not the case here

  • How disgustingly ironic, for theocratic pro-Republican protesters to be painting swastikas- a symbol of the same kind of fascism they espouse- in front of the offices of democratic congressmen.

  • The republican party has gone off the deep end.

  • bah. 0/10 obvious troll is obvious. BTW Ms. Maddow made some very good points. Threatening violence because somebody says "Hey let's try to do something nice and truly helpful." is indeed ridiculous.

  • Big insurance through thier owned proxies, the GOP, have deliberately and purposely incited the radical fringe in society into complete irrationality.

It is their technique of keeping "their figerprints of of it" as they said when they did similarly in 1993/94. They are trying to manufacture an impression of a peoples movement where no such thing exists. They are also trying to shift media and attention away from actual dialogue and naturally away from single payer.

    Truly vile

  • I really fear that it will take some maniac turning violent for the Pres. and the Dems to stand up and grow a backbone . If the Dems had the balls that the nuts on the Right had, maybe this would not be happening? Truly a scary time and the media is just feeding the fire.

  • At least Rachel Maddow doesn't break down and cry on a weekly basis.
