I never, ever get tired of this song. Hope you'll add my response from your Seeburg's younger cousin!

@maynardcat I suppose that people who really want the parts will make them - of course it won't be original manufacturer.
It is a bit like having an unusual car I suppose. I would be frightened of something going wrong knowing I could not get the part. Mind you, they dont seem to have done too badly in Cuba using the same cars for the past fifty plus years!

I have not seen one of these for some time!!

Hi, Maynardcat. Dave here. Did some dj work in New Smyrna Beach, FL in '57-'58. "Born Too Late" brings back memories of AF basic training at Lackland AFB, after the TI's left in the p.m. we'd break out the radios, stick 'em in the windows & our area would rock and mellow out, too. Earl Grant's "The End" was out then, too. Then, let's see, was "Summertime Blues" out then? How about "Volare?" Thanks for the memories at 71.

The Moonglow/Picnic version from the movie has always been my favorite. I can see Kim and Wm. Holden dancing every time I hear it. Thanks!

I think the Stolloff version is by far the best. It sounded complete to me as I have the movie on dvd. Thanks for the memories

how much is a 54 seeburg worth in realy 95 condition

There are a few on ebay now ranging from 465.00 for one not working, fair condition, and missing parts to others in working condition and restored condition up to 5.495. They have been much higher than the 5.495 in restored condition in better economic times. On ebay just enter Seeburg R.

@maynardcat Where does one get parts for it from?

@alanheath There are vintage jukebox suppliers that have parts, and certain parts are remanufactured. There are also parts available from time to time on ebay

hello nice video I noticed that you have the cartridgee put in backwards you have the side b side for the a side turn the cartridge around . it will sound better I work with jukes and that will ruin the needle faster the way you have the cartridge installed . but it is a great juke box and enjoy

Hi Tough213 You are very observant, and yes it was in backwards for about one day. I am one of the very few that own the stereo cartridge upgrade kit put out by Seeburg. Unlike the stereo tonearm that prevents backward installation, it allows it to be inserted backwards if you are not careful. Later Pickering just made a two prong mono version of the stereo cartridge which simply installed in the mono cartridge shell. The advantage of the kit enables you to use the less expensive stereo cart
