THE APOCALYPSE -- THE MOVE (2002) - PART 1 of 7

It is 90 AD, and the Roman Empire is being run by the Emperor Domitian, who has declared himself to be God and ruler over heaven and earth. The Christians, who do not recognize his divinity, are a thorn in his side and he is having them cruelly persecuted. The small village in Asia Minor to which the aged apostle John has withdrawn is also attacked by Roman soldiers. As if by a miracle, John is the only person to escape the slaughter and he receives divine orders to write down the visions he will have and communicate them to the Christian communities in the Roman provinces of Asia. The voice tells him that they should discover what is and what will happen thereafter. Among the Christians of Asia Minor, who believe that John is dead, everyone is deeply worried about being persecuted. Gaius, the community elder in Smyrna, is concerned that only a few believers still dare come to the ritual supper. Under these circumstances, Christianity can no longer exist!

  • If only Domitian had succeeded .. so many of the worlds problems would be solved

  • @CaptainGrimes1 well its over 14 minutes long and it's in high-def u should just wait a few minutes until u see it loading about 25% and then watch it....that's the burden of watching videos here :-/

  • whys it taking so long to load!?

  • AWESOME movie on John and the Book of Revelation. Very well done!! A MUST WATCH!

  • @ApocalypseWatcher The people in the mines were criminals and Christians; yet a majority of Christians.

  • @ApocalypseWatcher I watched it and didn't notice anything upon good works to receive salvation. This is focused on the Revelations of Jesus to John and avoiding capture and martyrdom; Almost everyone in this movie is a Christian in character(in Ephesus and Patmos) so ,they would already know of the Gospel.

  • @xxblackyburnzxx I am not setting aside good works as some sort of trifling matter. I am only pointing out that this movie sends the message that the work of love for one another will save our souls from Perdition. Where is the Gospel message?

  • 11:50 Take a look there; Good works; is that showing God's love? Yes; That's What Jesus Would Do... As for John "Forgiving sins" ; He's simply telling them "Your sins are already forgiven " by the Grace of God.

  • @ApocalypseWatcher This is true, but you also have to remember that John was one of Jesus' most beloved apostles (Even though he loved them all unconditionally xD) John followed Jesus by imitation; when non-believers see you in good works (as genuine Christians) they take a look at your Faith in curiosity; something that they might want to follow one day.

  • @ApocalypseWatcher We are absolutely in agreement. The million dollar question is what those works are. My faith is firmly set that the bible answers that very question. Remember what Jesus said about truth at John 4:23,24 and John 17:17 and John 8:32. Seems like Jesus set a very high value on Religious truth.
