An old junker Sporting a 15.5 hp Tecumseh engine, The carb assembly was loose so I tightened it with a star driver, then fired it up ! I chopped the hood, chopped 6" out of the steering column, swapped out the gas tank for a smaller one, fabricated the dash, and upper body plate, and relocated the choke and throttle. As you can see it sports a Buick grill and driving lamps. Also downsized the front wheels, and added a spring return to the choke lever. I still need to change the drive pulleys, and disable the governor. I fabricated the exhaust manifold out of 1' conduit, a three piece weld, and used the metal gasket from a volkswagen exhaust. But the 4" Exhaust, unrestricted air filter, and the shift-lock conversion has already made a big difference. More to come ..........(Macgyver).............................................. Be sure to watch, How to make a drag mower, part two as well, showing off the new paint job, and ripping up the field off of state road 40.

  • what tool were u using in the start

  • @legomanre That is called a track torch, it has wheels on it, and adjustable settings, so it can cut at a desired angle and speed, depending on the metal you are cutting. However a steady hand will also do the job just fine.

  • how do i make realy cheap wheelie bars for my mower? and sick video well set up!

  • @TnT4288 Do you really want CHEAP wheelie bars ? I didn't, so I made mine out of uni-strut, welded all of the connections, used a piece of 3/8" all thread rod for the axle, two wheels off of an old jobsite tool box, 1/2" conduit for spacing between the wheels, 3/8" washers, 3/8" nuts (doubled at the ends, then killed the threads), Welded two 45, and two 90 degree brackets to the assembly for mounting it to the mower, Welded on a battery tray, painted it, then mounted it. That's the basics,

  • @TnT4288 And don't forget to subscribe to my channel, some other mower vids there.

  • how did u lower the front end

  • @NJSPredneck------ It was as simple as replacing the old stock front wheels with two new smaller inflatable hand truck rims and tires at a cost of about 10.00. Purchased at harbor frieght, added some washers to the axles, and done.

  • to bad it dosent do wheelies

  • @rbrats1344 never said it was bad. just slow

  • it is like on a bycle when you change the gears larger in the back means slower but more torque a smaller pully in the back will increace your top speed but lower the torque so the Idea it to find the perfect gear ratio so you can reach maximum speed in a reasonable amout of time the easest way to do this is just put a smaller pully on the back (about half the diamiter of the original works good) also you will need to change the belt (smaller) first install the pully then measre fro the belt
