@aewd1980 It's a side of the balance. On the other side, when it becomes too much, that you don't want that to be necessarily too much, and you have to deal with fans and signing autographs for about 50 years... someday you'll just pull the plug.

it sounds a bit ungracious of him not to sign autographs. after all, if it wasn't for his public, where would ringo starr have ended up? what would he have amounted to? some of these famous people ought to remember that every now and then.

I understand why most famous people don't sign , if you was a TRUE fan you would not sell it on ebay , id treasure it and I don't like it when people are screaming and shouting at them it must be very annoying , i know I would not like it. yes there is true fans out there but because of dealers/traders no wonder he won't sign. it'd annoy me if I signed for people and i saw my autograph end up on ebay.

He signed autographs, answered letters, and took pictures for 40 years, I think the man has earned the right not to sign autographs anymore

Asking for autographs is demeaning anyway. He's just doing his job to earn money and he has as much right as anyone to refuse pathetic autograph hunters. they'll likely just put it up on Ebay anyway.

I got his Autograph in January 2008 9 months before he stopped signing lol, I am releived I think Ringo is so rich now he doesn't want all the fame and that and loves his privacy

@bagzie Worst drummer in show biz is open to many certainly, but not to him. listen to "Rain " ," A Day in the Life" , "She said She said" , etc ,etc ...you made yourself look an ignoramus, probably not the first time !
