My argument isn't that strapping your guitar high will stop you from shredding. My argument is that strapping it high betrays a lack of passion for the primal drives of guitar based music.

And The Human Abstract aren't bad, except that from what I've seen they look kinda dull on stage.

And hasn't their lead guitarist just left the band because he didn't "feel honest about playing metal anymore"?

I never said that it will make your playing suck, I just said it looks extremely uncool.

Angus Young is a special case. Firstly, he rocks out like a motherfucker.

Secondly, he's of a different generation: he started playing back in the sixties.

And finally, he is really fucking small. Short arms means he has no choice. Same reason he chose an SG instead of a Les Paul.

If Eucalypt rocked as hard as Angus, I wouldn't be bothered.

Fine, there are examples of talent on both sides, but ultimately either you want to rock, or you're a pretentious tool. Strap high and you're probably the latter.
