NJ Prog Rock band 3RDegree performing Gentle Giant's "Peel The Paint" on April 21, 2007 at Metuchen, NJ's NJ Proghouse. This was 3RDegree's first public performance in just over 10 years! For more info check out http://www.3RDegreeONLINE.com

3RDegree formed in 1990 and put out 2 albums-1993's THE WORLD IN WHICH WE LIVE and 1996's HUMAN INTEREST STORY before disbanding after a final performance at NYC's CBGB's in 1997. The band decided to complete songs left unfinished and write new ones for a new album over dinner in December of 2005. Demos were made and singer George Dobbs found over 2006 and at the end of the year, drum tracks were recorded for 18 songs! The first half of the songs were assembled into a CD that will be released in early 2008 along with a DVD/CD of the Reunion Concerts from April 2007.

  • This is REALLY GREAT guys. May I felicitate the drummer? how good does your kit sound? wow. Like studio material!

  • @JeffELOLynne We had a bunch of mics except on the low tom-but Rob's kit is nothing special but he plays it well. He is no longer with the band but our new guys is pretty good too!

  • Which two? Answer is no. No brothers in 3RDegree. Only "brothers in music"!

  • While I wish you could have described it a bit better-I did put on fresh strings that night-bad idea! Steinberger with fresh strings. I learned my lesson!

  • @pashman Next time, decrease the ride cymbal mic, it is louder than the snare or toms. Great job. Wish I had a GG band.
