The guest speaker, who is a Deaf clinical psychologist, bases his presentation related to critical pedagogy among Deaf people--the unhidden and hidden variables that influence the relationship between the adult and the child. To most of us, this is perceived as the adult was the mentor and the child as the learner. However, there are also instances in which children teach adults certain things about life, and this is especially true when it comes to examining things from a d/Deaf perspective. This will be an interesting way of looking at these dynamics using holistic lenses.
