US Boycott of Olympics? Doubt it, China owns us.

There has been some rumblings like we might boycott the Olympics because of China's civil rights violation and excessive pollution; however I am doubtful that the boycotts would happen because our economies are so dependent on each other.

Politicians are taking advantage of the bad image of China, with two purposes: 1. to show how "moral" they are by condemning the "bad guys" and hopefully to win some votes; 2. throw the ball to the Chinese so they do not need to be responsible for the economic recession.
