Justified or not, the Allies won a tainted victory by committing atrocities they swore not to do. I am primarily referring to the carpet bombing of German and Japanese cities, and the deliberate genocide against Japanese non-combatants in the Pacific. Let us not forget the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. A tainted victory.

The Versailles Treaty was unprecedented bullshit--the most vindictive, unjust, foolish document in history. Any debt Germany owed for World War I--a war serious scholars believe Germany was no more responsible for than Britain, France, or Russia were--it had already payed ten times over. It didn't owe a penny more.

Germany was nourished back to health after they were smashed by debt forced upon it by the Triple Entente (Russia, Britain and France) following War War 1 defeat, a war Germany did not start. Lets go back a step and ask, who fucked who first.

Mostly true, however Germany still had to repay its Versailles debt as well as a new debt repayment to the allies after the second world war. This in mind it is worthy to note the Germany would have transformed Russia into a virtual slave plantation, so yes Christopher is correct.
