Notorious for its sad and cruel past, this was a major transit centre for prisoners sent to Stalin's Gulag labour camps. But the region is also famous for its natural resources.

  • It's disgusting how they treat that poor fish! These so called fishermen should be caught like this themselves, gasping for air!!!!

    And they are showing this poor salmon caught and dying on shore, like it's OK! The reporter really sucks! How can she condone it? How can anyone sympathize with these poachers? And her interviewing technique is subpar.

    Overall, Magadan is an interesting topic, but this is one of the worst pieces I've seen from RT! Disappointing!
