The Vapors were an English band that produced two excellent albums during the '80s New Wave. Known primarily for the international hit, "Turning Japanese," the band generally played upbeat tempos and guitar-driven melodies underpinning a keen political and socially perceptive lyric.

Civic Hall, an excellent example of their quality, has a skipping-home-from-school feel overlaying a strong criticism when mis-used police authority shatters innocence on more time. Classic Vapours.
