MEP Sra Muñiz de Urquiza of the PSOE, who was not there for the hearing, intervenes out of context and in a matter relating to Portugal and appears to talk about demagoguery (trouble making) in the petitions. She appears to imply that properties are being demolished to protect the environment, and that the Spanish system is an advanced legal system in the protection of the environment. She also argues that the matters raised by the petitioners (I understand as a reference to Maura and Helen Prior) should not be kept open because they do not relate to matters within the competence of the EU system and they should be dealt with in Spain. She is then told by the President of the Committee that it is a pity she was not there for the hearing she is commenting on, which lasted a fairly long time, given that the Committee is now discussing another Petition.
How convenient is to don’t Know the LINGO, don’t know the law, and …. Don’t pay the Council taxes….. I know from first hand some British leaving in Valencia that are very happy to live free of taxes and to enjoy the Spanish Public Services, and of course they know the illegal situation that they are enjoying. …. Don’t be so naïve.

It made me laugh that a big promotion is going to be made over the next few months in Northern Europe , when will they ever learn they can say that they have total transparency in planningbut everyone knows it is the law of the jungle.."Most advanced, environmental laws in Europe, gilipollezes.
