Star Wars hyperspace effect recreation

A quick test I did with after effects in an attempt to replicate the jump to lightspeed/hyperspace effect from star wars.

I was stuck for ideas for testing out what I could do without tutorials on after effects and had just finished watching star wars and so I made the obvious decision to try and remake this effect.

It's certainly not perfect and I didn't bother with messing about getting timings right but for a quick attempt I'm quite happy with it.

Now I'm just stuck for ideas of how to test my minimal knowledge of the program :D
