Conversation with Street Preacher (pt 2)

York Street Fair May 13, 2007. The Notorious Rev Jim Grove and his crew came down to preach in front of the PA Non-Believers' booth. His friend Jake offered me a bible tract, and i said no thanks. Here is the ensuing conversation. I appreciated the conversation very much. It would be better for all of us if there were more public discussions of this sort, especially in public arenas, rather than the in-your-face preaching that you eventually hear in the background. Jake, if you see this, thanks for the conversation and thanks for not becoming arrogant or aggresive.

Kudos to Ausar360...thanks for joining in a conversation and being cool to this guy in your summery and in your talk. As a Christian, I am disappointed in the guy screaming because he's not having a conversation,just yelling and slamming people. Then again, some comments left here from some of the non-Christians are just as much lack of conversation; just with a keyboard instead of a bullhorn. This piece shows a conversation; 2 people willing to talk. I hope we can all learn from it.

The Calvinists have "some truth". Unfortunately, god didn't give them all the truth they DID give my group. Oh, by the way, my god isn't an author of confusion. The poor guy means well though. Christians are some of the most well meaning, anti-intellectuals anywhere.

i am catholic and it even pisses me off when im walking down the street and i see a fellow catholic or christian damning all others to hell!!!
