What are these planes spraying in Middletown ny. ?!?!?

november 4th 2008 in middletown ny.
I caught planes spraying what looks like chemicals into the air! All over! multiple times on multiple passes!
(spraying the masses?) why? what purpose?
Look up! seriously... how could anyone miss this going on.

Its basically called a Jet Wake and it is formed mainly due to the reaction between the superheated gas coming out of the jet engine exhaust and the ambient or atmospheric air. It can vary depending on ambient condition and engine performance.

Dude. The plane isn't spraying anything. Its condensing water vapors off the trail of the plane. When a plane flies really high up it's colder and the vapors from the engines form those cloudlike trails. Its the water vapors turning into ice crystals. Dude this can't be the first time you've ever noticed planes do this.
