  • Who's the flautist on the right at 0:30? Never saw her before; is she new or something?

  • @physphilmusic It is Se-Hyun Kim, student at our Orchestra Academy.

  • Nice to hear a challenging work. It's not something I'd keep on my Ipod, but good to listen to music that challenges our listening.

  • interesting to hear voices in the orchestra. Glad Berlin Phil is exploring outside the canon

  • @sutherndudetx I keep it on my iPod! :D

  • Can anyone tell me who are the saxophonist that play with the orchestra? Thank you =)

  • Okay so listen to this twice / double / at the same time but start one a minute earlier. (Sorry purists)

  • who's the horn player at 2:10

  • @masterclassicalmusic 1. The instrument is a Celesta.

    2. Every singer is doubled with an instrument

    3. There is an exact plan of which singer/which instrument is sitting where on stage made by Luciano Berio himself.

  • HappyWandy457, I wonder what the composer is willing to let us feel on this piece...In my ears I cannot miss to think he intends to give us somewhat near to a Karl Orff composition, It could be a Burana post mortem, don´t you think? What a waste on such hard work done by soloist, orchestra and master of the batoon!
