http://www.tunnelvisionmusic.com/products/MXR_Smart_Gate_Noise_Reduction_Peda... - If you're addicted to the indispensable juice of a high gain amp or a string of stomp boxes, you need this pedal. Because along with your hot-wired tones, you're probably getting a generous helping of noise. Equipped with three selectable types of noise reduction, Hiss, Mid, and Full, the Smart Gate bites down on sizzle and hum but lets the smallest detail of your playing through. With its uncanny ability to sense precisely when -and how fast -to engage, this little genius will never get in your way, so you can wring every last bit of sustain out of that chord without being cut off.
Originally designed by Scholz Research and Development, the Smart Gate has been completely updated with a hardwire bypass, precise threshold trigger, and new cleaner circuitry. Open or closed, it adds virtually nothing to your signal. We've also squeezed this baby down from half space rack size to a slender stomp box, leaving plenty of room underfoot for your newly tamed effects.

  • i got p90 and bsiab2 ... at high gain (amp) makes noise .... more tone (pedal) makes it inbareble, i know p90 are not for high gain( avenged sevenfold for example ) but will this pedal get rid of that earbusting noise? (both pickup and pedal)

  • will this cut off feedback at the end of notes that i want feedback on?? or can i truly set and forget? i play with a lot of gain.

  • Please anybody HELP ME!!!!!!

My amp gives a horrible ringing/screeching sound. Why? could it be my power supply? I even have 2 noise gates. i tried 1 in the fx loop and the other at the end of the effects. Still that same noise between chords and when i'm not playing at all. Now i have my guitar guitar going into the input of the noise clamp and from the output to the amp. And all my effects in the send and return of the noise clamp with the noise gate at the end of the effects.

    PLEASE HELP ME

  • Can you still get feedback with this? or does it kill that too?

  • @drawingshadows put reverb and delay in your fx loop instead

  • why would you put it at the end of your signal chain? you put it at the beginning or else any reverb or delay you have will get cut off

  • good vid bro. I had a lot of feedback problems today at band practice with caused me to throw my mic stand across the room. but it seemed like you weren't having much feedback in the first place while mine had a loud screech that could make your ears bleed (and not in a good way) would this still help with that?

  • @bezoro2008 so noise gate then delay?
