Eternal Crusaders - Black Templars

No Fear. No Pity. No Remorse.

The Black Templars are a Successor Chapter to the venerable Imperial Fists Legion. After the Horus Heresy and the instatement of the Codex Astartes, the Imperial Fists were divided into four Chapters: Those that were most loyal to the Primarch, Rogal Dorn, remained in the Imperial Fists. The younger and more level-headed Marines of the Legion became the Crimson Fists, the planetary assault units were allegedly formed into the Soul Drinkers Chapter (though such records have been purged), and the most zealous of the Astartes were formed into the Black Templars, led by Sigismund.

The Black Templars are on a never-ending Crusade, as sworn by Sigismund and his Marines upon leaving Holy Terra. Every High Marshal of the Black Templars has since renewed this oath.

The Black Templars are a divided lot, split into many Crusades. Together, the Black Templars would equal around 5000 Astartes - an almost unstoppable force if completely united - and thus the Inquisition watches the zealous sons of Dorn with a keen eye.

The Black Templars follow the example of their first High Marshal, and prefer melee combat to ranged tactics. Leading by example, they lead glorious charges into almost suicidal situations, honour-bound to uphold their dignity and the glory of their Chapter.
