Hallo there. Here's my first entry among the thousands of guitar players on YouTube, Basically just me noodling around aimlessly with my Epiphone Les Paul Standard through a DOD VGS50 (as a boost) and into a Roland Cube 30, audio and video recorded with a Sony Digital Camera so quality is poor.

Anyway, enjoy (hopefully)

  • what settings are you using???

  • @ElectricGuitar1998 Let me see, I think is Bass 7, Mids 6.5, Trebble 6/6.5, Gain 10, Vol 1, Lead channel on the 'Metal' model, and just a touch of reverb or delay.

Aditionaly I have a DODVGS50 multieffects pedal in fron of the amp that I use to ad just a slight amount of aditional gain in order to push the amp's distortion up a bit (it brightens it up).

    And that's about it.

  • is it loud enough for a small gig

and does it sound good with a distortion pedal like um a boss mt2 metalzone

  • @ecgedsel depends on the gig it's probably not loud enough next to a drummer, as for the distortion pedal you can ttry it on the clean channel or the black panel channel which are voiced diferently but they are both clean (the black pannel is warmer sounding while the clean channel is very neutral)

  • ive been hearing the every guitar sounds the same on the cube 30. Is this true cuz i dont wana waste money on a new guitar if its gonna sound the same

  • @heavymetalguitarer It's partially true that solid state/modelling amps like the cube are not as dynamic as tube amps which results in a less dramatic variation in the response from one guitar to another.

But to say that they will all sound the same is a huge exageration used by tone snobs to bash modelling technology simply because it doesn't live up to their impossibly high standards.

I have 7 guitars and they all respond and sound VERY different trough the cube to my ears. my .02

  • Good sound!

  • @mrfootinmouth thanks!!!

  • I really like it!

  • @ecgedsel It is not even close to loud enough for a small gig. The drummer WILL drone it out if the crowd doesnt.....
