  • Wow... Im so shocked to know how many people go through this. Ive been going though it for 5 almost six months now and ive been going to chiropractor once or twice a week. Ive went to physical therapy and on my second cortizone injection. The injection has been the only thing that got me back on my feet from pretty much laying on my bed for weeks. I am 35 also a professional salsa dancer and since this injury my life has fallen apart. I can still feel some discomfort and thinking surgery. :(

  • People who don't have this problem don't know, I'm 28 this happen to me when I was 19 my parents look at me like I should take ibuprofen and I tell them u have no idea it's fit wrenching pain they have no idea. It really is depressing an they have no clue what so ever. I wish this upon no one.

  • Yea I have it. It goes away and comes back and i can do things such as walk, sit, and pick up objects, but if I move in a specific way, it feels like someone id stabbing me. I've been told to lose weight, have correct posture, and stretch. Hope it works.

  • i hurt my back 2 years ago lifting weight , i don't feel any pain at all , just a little stiffness in my lower back right side , no pain when i sneeze , cough or bend over , my right leg feels just a little different but no pain or tingling or weakness in my leg , how serious is my injury and do i have a herniated disc ?

  • Glad your feeling better! I to suffer the same thing from an injury i had 4 years ago.

I had a bad "flare up" and have been out of work for almost 2 months. I have just received my second cortisone shot. The first one did nothing. So I hope this helps me. I really don't want surgery if I can at all help it,. Glad it worked out for u, take care!

  • I just went to a doctor a while ago, he said that it is only an acute lumbar strain. I am just over anticipating this one. Good thing its not that bad thanks to god

  • @fiVeMaN231 How about you visit a doctor?

  • I think I'm too young for this, I'm 16 and I feel pain when I bend forward. Sometimes I feel pain on my thighs and calves. Do I need surgery or something or only stretching? I need reply

  • My mother has been in so much pain even after 18weeks of chiropractors 2 injections and meds! She has cervical and lumbar ruptured disc, thanks for explaining no one can feel your pain unless you have one cause they can't . She was just denied for disability and is now appealing with a lawer" ps: she was in a bad car accident that cause this all , she on 1 year and 4 months sence the accident!

  • This is sooo my story. I just had my first cortisone epidural after being in pain for three months. Dealing with pain and taking meds everyday has really gotten me depressed. People who have not experienced this condition really can't understands the magnitudinal impact it has on ones life.
