  • Nice job!!! I also will be new to this. I just mailed off my deposit for a standard Indy bullwhip from Joe (8ft natural tan 16plait) and can't wait. It seemed it became more fluid and natural as you kept on cracking it and sounded like a pistol shot each time it cracked...for being new to the art you rocked it bro...

  • I like the squirrel that ran up the hill at 2:10 :)

  • i am not but its a cool one

i have one that i made its gold plated i called it bummble bee

cuz it has a yellow popper

i love it to death its 5 ft long

  • are you on indygear? i think i saw you?

  • at the end in the right a blackish brown rabbit is running up the hill. probably scared the crap out!!

  • i know why your not geting the cattleman's crack right . when you throw the whip down to make that loop, your throwing it to foward, you want to throw the whip more down to your feet than your front. this will make the crack a lot louder.

  • I'm Joe Strain's cousin, Kevin, and I've had a few years of experience with that particular whip of his and it's best just to focus on getting your cracks with minimal arm motion and focus on using your wrist; plenty of frequent use (as I'm sure it's received by now) and the occasional leather dressing session don't hurt either.

I don't know of Joe has a Youtube account but you can get a hold of me easily enough if you want to chat. Cheers.

  • By comparing your bullwhip clips, I can see differences. Using the handle like a lever, just before the stockwhip cracks, try pressing the handle down and forward. Using two fingers on the shaft would help. You appear to lever the bullwhip down and forward, but not the stockwhip.

  • you're waiting a bit too long with your cattleman's crack. and how do you afford those whips!? i'd love to have a joe strain whip so much =(

  • Nice job...I'd love to get my hands on a Joe Strain whip.
