@Xenoglossicist That's basically it. The Zulus were in supior shape, they could run up to distances of 40 miles barefoot through rough terrain. They developed weapons for up close combat and they fought with strategy and in tactical formations. They also waited for the enemy to throw volleys of spears causing the enemy to unwittingly disarm himself and then the Zulus would go in for the massacre.

your exactly right

You are correct. Zulu warriors would fall so that the next line could leap over them and charge. And since Zulu were known to be exceptionally fast runners (Zulu were counted as cavalry rather than infantry by British soldiers) they could close the gap and flank rather quickly.

the zulu war dance was to show your opponent you will stomp him until they fall

where can i get this music? thanks

Its a part of the story...you know, you fall but must get back up.

I was wondering about that too as to why they fall to to ground after most every kick.I thought that it is part of the dance or maybe from being tired from so much dancing.
The dance is a form of ritualised combat. As far as I know the falling back is about clearing the line of contact so that the next line in the formation can engage the enemy. The Zulu army was effective because it maintained a close combat line rather than resorting to ranged attack or skirmishing. I stand open to correction on this but it's what I've been told...
