I find they ruined family affairs when they killed off the Hart family. I remember Duncan didn't die because he wasn't in the setries then. He came back later wanting to know where his parents were. And even then it wasnt the same guy that played him in the first place. The producers ruined what could have been Channel 5's Coronation street or BBC's Eastenders.Not as big granted but it was a good show until there killed off the best family of all and brought in crap characters

@Messylin OMG!!! I LOVED it back in the day when Charnham was a little town in Berkshire with the Hart family with The Lock the bar by the water!! Still not completely over them wiping out practically the whole cast with that explosion on the boat! If I remember correctly only Pete Callan, and two others survived - That annoying blond friend of Melanie's - Claire, and Duncan's friend Roy! I wanted Annie Hart to be my Mum!!

I hated how they turned Charnham, which was once an affluent waterside english town, into a suberb of London. That was the kiss of death for this show - making it into a clone of Eastenders and Coro St.
