The next in a series of videos in which I show why the arguments which theists use to prove God simply don't work.

Is it possible for anyone to prove they were, or are currently a Christian? Does that make a difference?

  • Every time people tell me I was never a christian, I ask them to prove to me that they ARE, and they scoff "Why should I have to prove anything to YOU?"

    :) Exactly, huh?

  • @GodsArePeopleToo I like to respond by saying: "I understand that you believe that. When you become an atheist people will say the same thing about you."

You can imagine the responses I get from that!

  • @ azsuperman01 When I was a christian, I never debated atheists.. just never came up really. How did it feel to have all that turned around in your mind.

Did you suddenly realize you were believing a lie.. and defending it?

    Good series.

  • @TooferMan It took me a while to come around to finally admit to being an atheist -- some of the things that I noticed along the way were the problems in the arguments I used to use to defend my position (including the "never a Christian" argument).

It takes a lot to change your mind on a position like that - especially when you've been defending it in the public forum... but it was the only honest thing I could do.

  • @Scaly420 I searched my heart and all I found was muscle tissue, valves and blood. I must have gotten the wrong sort at birth, or something.

  • You need to do a video on the Objective Morality apologetic. I want to punch Christians whenever they bring that one up!

  • @GodsArePeopleToo

Why not ask me that question? That answer certainly wouldn't be my answer. In fact, I would be STRAIGHT FORWARD with you.

  • Nobody can PROVE the existence of God to another. Only the individual can prove it to himself by searching their own heart. A video for those who BELIEVE vs those who who DO NOT.

It's a dead bulls eye for both viewpoints in ONE PACKAGE! ;)

  • @azsuperman01

now I am curious, How then do you KNOW who then is or isn't a christian? In order for a person to be able to call somebody "christian" you have to have an OBJECTIVE definition of christian by which you are able to recognize someone as a "christian"

If I were to say azsuperman01 is a blarfsysac how is one able to recognize azsuperman01 as a blarfsysac or not without an objective definition of blarfsysac?

You never gave a definition of christian in this video

  • If God is, who we believe he is, then he doesn't need me to argue on his behalf on the internet. That's the exact reason that most Christians won't argue with you on the subject. We have our beliefs and you have yours. Have a nice day. Oh yeah, you don't have to believe in God but he still believes in you.

  • Here is why I don't believe an Atheist could ever be a former Christian. I once had an online friendship with a guy who "said' he was a Christian. A year later, he told me that for the last 7 years his Christianity was nothing but a front and mask to hide behind because in reality he never followed Christ's teachings. As a Christian I do believe in free will. My brother is a "so called" former Christian turned Atheist. However, he does not use that argument when explaining his position.

  • this covers arminianism who believe in free will what should i say to christians who are calvinist and believe god is completly soverign?
