I had a buddy who was stationed at Clark AFB. He said they caught these things while on ramp patrol at night, and would sell them to the locals for .25 each. They cooked and ate 'em. Bon Apatite.

Great lookin' click beetle! Why don't ya go to a local bookstore there in the Philippines and find a book on bugs? Surely it'd be in a book of local insects... Very cool that you're brave enough to hold it when 90% of the rest of the world (and 99% of the United States) would be deathly afraid of it altogether. [=
