you sound like a Nederlander!!

@LkOutMtnMan about 4 hours on a 5 gallon fuel tank,
-
@b101aa2 that's right, but not that fast! since the Lazair has a 12:1 glide ratio, you can soar pretty well with it, in a good thermal day you should have no problems, could even shut off the engines, and if flying over some country road area at an altitude of 1000feet you have pretty good chances to get down even with no engines.

underpowered. it needs 2 x 912S

I'm not a big fan of these aircraft but i must say this ultralight design has stood the test of time. Nice video!

i'm curious about the props. I don't see how the second (or rear ) prop could possibly add to the performance. any statistics, numbers, or anything to verify the advantage? were they used on any other craft?

at least with a twin, if one quits, you still have another to give you time to find somewhere to put it down. otherwise, coming down fast,
can it fly on one engine?how much HP?

one engine will take you all the way to the crash site..... seriously it can not sustain altitude on one engine
