  • I have this album, just reread the interview on the cover after stumbling on this here.Still remembered the comments about the picture painted on the underside of Grace's bed canopy. I was 15 in '65, what a time to grow up. Don't despair over todays music you young un's. Things are going to change. Get out of the mainstream and start hitting small club venues to hear your new music. All great movements have a beginning and I think we are on the verge of another one.

  • @Barefeet200

oh I know that, I listen to lesser known music

  • What year is this ? 1965 ?

  • @vonroon23

    1966 actually

  • Sounds similar to "Call me the breeze" from JJ Cale / L. Skynyrd, especially the refrain

  • sorry what's a refrain?

  • just beutifull

  • It was 1965 and some of us were beginning to ask where this was going. Some of us thought the Beatles were already getting repetitive and boring. We wanted something more. If there is a true San Francisco sound this is it. Great Society laid down a lot of the early pathways for meaningful Rock music. McGuinn, Crosby & Clarke hadn't gotten a solid start yet. Nash & Young were unknowns. No Morrison yet. We never dreamed what the next 5 years would bring. Glad I was a part of that era.

  • So happy to find this one. One of Grace's best early performances

  • i think he means chorus.
