i would hardly call this a BSOD...windows 1 was a DOS application, not an operating system. The crazyness displayed on your screen was only displayed because the video card was put in CGA mode, and then felt like freaking out, not because there was any kernel crash detection...

That is not BSOD... that is Windows 1.01 boot screen. But it's fu*ed-up because Win1.0x is designed for DOS 3.xx. You need DOS 5.00 or lower to run Win1.0x properly. For Windows 1.00 Alpha/Beta/DR5 you need dos 3.30 (not 3.30a) or lower.
