I don't get the appeal of analog synths in general, but this sounds awesome!

very cool sounds :)

I remember just about cumming in my pants when this first came out and wondering how I could sell my family to get one!
Sadly, I never worked it out!

@MrPlikestechno Thanks for your positive comments. I didn’t know PhotoAnimationGuy was the same person as TheRadarMonkey.

@jzbowen @jzbowen the poster below says that he "worked pretty hard coax these sounds out because there are a lot of bad presets." So the answer is zero. The presets are awful and I think is part of what gives the T8 a bad rep. You have to know you're way around a synth and appreciate the touch controls to get the best out of this synth. There are lots of differences between the T8 and P600. Seperate CEM3360s for the VCAs and double the processing speed just for starters.

I love how the synth is stereo, this thing is loaded with amazing patches!!!
People always phrase the Juno 106, but this thing came out before it, had more polyphony, AND UP TO 20 OSCILATORS!

Dave Smith needs to bring this monster back! Maybe the best sounding synth ever. Especially as it has poly aftertouch which gives impressive control and expression over the sounds.
I always thought the SSM chips had a little more analog glean than the Curtis chips, though not a huge difference. Some people like that more, some people like them less.
Fuck this thing sounds amazing.

it does, thing is I wasn't even using layering or splits on this whole demo! I just started playing with layering patches and doing splits and it's just incredible, I'm going to do another demo eventually.
