The Bishops' first television appearance was on the Getting Together with The Dalton Gang program. It originally aired on TV-26 in Dayton, Ohio in 1986.
Loved it! Salmon suits and all. Just wish our young people now would sing this type of music. They are the best. Especially A Rose Among THe THorns. God bless you all. Keep on Singiin"
@misscourtneydan I had the pleasure of seeing Kenny, Mark and Pappy in Dixon, Tenn. back in 1996; and, I cracked up when I found this video. Things have changed so much since then with the guys; but, I'm glad to see that they are still praising God in their own ways. Be blessed !!!
I didn't realize they had sung this song! When my dad passed away, I remember the chorus of it came to mind from Gold City's recording of it. I miss the Bishops! Great singing! Especially the a cappella!!
This cracks me up! I'm almost embarrassed to say that this is my family. Uncle Kenny, Papaw, Daddy and cousin Junior. If only I were alive at this time! I would have died laughing at their salmon colored jackets! I will bug my Dad about this forever. :)
@Rovingnome They were RCA TK22 I think. I was on the one stage right. Too many truck shots ordered by the director. My camera pedistal was hydrolick as was the cam stage left. The cam in the center was pnuematic though.

But the joy they bring to my soul when they sing I don't see what they are wearing.
