Pete Burriss Birthday Surprise

The day after his 55th birthday, poor Pete Burriss thought he was being taken to a classy restaurant in the Somerset countryside. Imagine his surprise when the apparent Maitre d'Hotel showed him into a room full of baying friends and family. Confounding all predictions, Pete did not turn on his heels and demand to be taken to a proper restaurant but he stayed and, dare we say it, seemed to have a pretty good time.

Congratulations to all the revellers who gave up most of their weekend to travel and attend, and to Pam the tireless and generous organiser, and to Zoe Hare for her excellent video editing.

Oh, and to Pete, of course. Happy Birthday!
