Well, with the way you put in your CDs, they might be scratched up without you seeing it. I've had the same problem for about 5 years now...

your games where probably just in a bad shape or your gamecube had to much dust inside

Just clean the optical lens and use a vacuum on the sides to remove any dust, that fixed mine

That happened to me all the time. I had two gamecubes that weren't working.
