Love your Hy-gain V. Excellent performing radios. Don't see them in any condition very often in the states anymore. No offense meant but when trying to talk to stateside AM stations I recommend a much shorter call sign. The long call sign you guys use are to complicated for the average AM operator here in the U.S. It's sad but true.

@2e1dxy No I had it in a job lot, as you say it is very clean, someone has re-sprayed the casings and have done a very very good job and the front speaks for itself. Not bad for a 30+ year old radio.
All the best Dave (M0IBC)

@2sd125 I spoke to to John (Sweet Daddy) last week on 27.79125 (ch 20 UK), I was using the call 26-Tango Mike-446, I also heard him on the 11th of November on ch 19 UK but never returned to his call as I was busy at the time. John must be running some serious power. Hope to hear the States again very soon. 10-10
