Richard refers to a small collection of secular humanists, all of whom live in the UK, North America, Europe, and Australia. To call this "THE atheist community" is grossly misleading and ignorant.
As well, Richard looks like he is about to burst into tears, despite the fact that he is FAR more abusive than the detractors he mentions here. He has no business playing the victim card.
Richard: You do not represent me, nor I you. Spend less time making pointless videos, and more time reading.

There is no atheist community, anymore then there is a theist community. On YouTube, or elsewhere.
The only thing that atheists have in common is their lack of a belief in gods, and even this commonality is not enough to unite them. An actual community of atheists on YouTube would also include Buddhists, Jains, Astika and Nastika Hindus, Epicureans, nihilists, materialists, atheistic communists, Confucianists and Taoists, varying degrees of pagans, and more.

The sad part here is that this does not surprise me. We're talking about people that throw fits over toy reviews. Think, if they get THAT pissed about mundane kid's stuff, then logically their rage will increase by several ludicrous degrees into total entropy that will engulf all involved. In short: scratch the surface, Game On. Dig deeper, Game Over.

fuck that guy. He attacked so many people. And now that people respond back he plays a fuckin martyr????
fuck you coughlan!
You cant expect not getting attacked by idiot-spineless trolls when you so arrogantly attacks everybody and calls all people ignorant who dosent share your narrow point of view.

You think it'd be easier to just get along instead of organizing so much hatred against others.
Heck, if you really don't like someone, it'd be easier to just ignore them, and it'd shower greater inner strength and character rather then lashing out at them.
More people need to give less a fuck of what others believe rather then give so much of a fuck *sigh*

The word atheist does not automatically lead to rational and free-thinking. People are still people, extremists occur in every polarised group.

This is just sad. People scream "Freedom of speech" When it suits them. It makes me very sad. Very sad indeed.
I never understood these people who wish to turn atheism into something more than a lack of belief in a god. What are they going to use to fill the blanks? Racism and bigotry seem like the most popular candidates. And this blind worship of some youtubers without critical thought is as frightening as it is ironic. They are like petty videogame- fanboys except they claim to be freethinkers seeking knowledge and understanding. Atheists maybe, but freethinkers my ass.

He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.
