i keep waiting for that dude to sneeze in the begining

The girl in this is played by Dorothy Bernard.

The cross cutting in this Biograph is quite admirable to me; he utilizes an old banal form of comedy and gives it enough sense for the audience to be caring about the characters; plus what's going on would have probably been considered heinous back in the day, so my guess is that audiences would be invested in seeing that woman triumph; Griffith does not disappoint!

@devinsnider I concur. I mean, from the Biograph collection I have, the music is orchestrated with a feeling of suspense; however, this just doesn't fit so much.
-
A terrific short, but have an alternate score ready. The one here is mostly comedic in nature and contradicts the events on screen.
-
My only problem with this film is that I can't see Bobby Harron's pretty face with that hat on!
-
The music really doesn't fit the action.
