Proms are no longer small, simple affairs. Today's proms are elegant events that rank high in importance to young people. As proms have grown more sophisticated so has the demand for more imaginative and exciting body flowers. In this video clip, Leanne shares tricks and tips for creating a dramatic wrist corsage using a jeweled corsage bracelet and miniature cymbidium orchids.

  • You are correct, you can't buy one stem from a floral wholesaler. But, there are many outlets for purchasing a single flower...

  • Yes, it is important to watch the weight of you blossoms. However, roses could easily be used in this design.

  • Glue, corsage bracelets and other supplies can be found at the Floral Design Institute website.

  • Sounds like betty white.

  • Leanne, unfortunately you can't just buy one stem from a wholesaler. Any advice.

  • LeAnne, is the technique the same for using roses in place of the of the orchids...worried it would be too heavy?

  • This truly gorgeous, Leanne. You are very talented. My prom is at the end of June, but I've started looking at ideas for a wrist corsage now. Unfortunately, there are no florists in my area that do personalized corsages. They're all pre-made, mass produced corsages that I've found at a dozen other websites. And none of them match my dress.

However, I am now thinking about making my own- where could I find that glue you were using and what is it called? Also, where did you get the bracelet part?

  • That is so gorgeous
